Social credit gets a passing mention in the State Council’s plans to upgrade market supervision in the road freight industry.

The April 21 circular was heavily focused on new technologies in the field of freight transport, and included measures to establish a tech platform for road cargo management, a “freight credit information sharing mechanism”, and a “vehicle-to-goods” tracking mechanism.

Transport industry regulators have been doubling down on social credit implementation, with the Ministry of transport in Hainan and Jiangsu releasing pilot credit grading systems released the highway and waterway transport construction and passenger transport industries.
